SkyWorks Announces Q4 2018 Activities
SkyWorks Holdings today announced transactions and activities performed during Q4 2018 for its Leasing & Asset Management and Investment Banking & Advisory Groups.
Leasing & Asset Management Group activities included the following:
On behalf of Modern Logistics, Brazil, SkyWorks sourced and arranged an operating lease for one additional 737-300SF aircraft (its 4th 737SF). SkyWorks also renewed its engagement with Modern Logistics to provide continued aircraft sourcing and fleet analytical support services.
On behalf of a US investor, SkyWorks arranged a long-term lease extension with American Airlines for one A319-100.
On behalf of its Sierra Echo Aircraft Leasing Limited vehicle, SkyWorks closed on the acquisition of 8 Boeing and Airbus aircraft from 4 different sellers. The aircraft are on lease to 5 different operators globally and will be managed by SkyWorks Leasing (Ireland) Limited.
SkyWorks was retained by Aviator Capital to arrange the sale of a portfolio consisting of five commercial jet aircraft and two engines on lease to various operators. The RFP has been launched and closing is scheduled for Q2 2019.
SkyWorks was retained by a US investor to perform lease return and aircraft remarketing services for one 737-700, available Q3 2019, and one 777-300ER, available Q1 2021.
SkyWorks is currently offering two 2006 vintage A330-300 (RR), available for sale or lease.
Investment Banking & Advisory Group activities included the following:
SkyWorks arranged a $160mm revolving credit facility secured by A320neo PDP payment obligations on behalf of Spirit Airlines with Credit Agricole CIB and Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale.
On behalf of its Sierra Echo Aircraft Leasing Limited investment vehicle, SkyWorks closed a $300 million bank facility led by Bank of America, N.A. (as Structuring Agent and Joint Lead Arranger), with BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Canada acting as Joint Lead Arrangers.
SkyWorks completed its assignment as an advisor to Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings in respect of the financing of 20 767-300ERFs that it acquired to operate for Amazon Fulfillment Services, Inc. Overall, 14 aircraft were financed by a Japanese bank and 6 aircraft were financed with a combination of debt from the US private placement market and with a US bank.
SkyWorks was engaged by a North American carrier to arrange JOLCO financing for its 2019 aircraft deliveries.
SkyWorks was engaged by a Middle East network carrier to provide fleet-related advisory services, focused on maintenance and return condition exposure for its leased aircraft.
SkyWorks continued its engagement with a North American low-cost carrier to source eight new 737 MAX 8 aircraft, to be delivered in 2019.
SkyWorks continued to provide fleet-related advisory services to a European flag carrier.
SkyWorks continued to provide fleet- and network-related advisory services to Fiji Airways, including long-term market growth analysis and schedule-driven operational cost reduction and aircraft acquisition advisory services.
SkyWorks continued to provide fleet-related advisory services to Royal Jordanian Airlines, including lease extension/returns and aircraft acquisition advisory services.
SkyWorks continued to provide fleet-related advisory services to a North American low-cost carrier.
